Youth in Agri-food Export Development Program (YAEDP)

 YAEDP is a six-month program designed to develop the capacity of 15,000 Nigerian youth, aged 25 – 40 to participate in the export sector. The program will provide training, market linkages, and digital support to entrepreneurs and co-operative leaders in the Nigerian agri-food sector.


Locations

Abia, Adamawa, Cross River, Edo, FCT, Kano, Kaduna, Kogi, Lagos, Ogun, and Oyo (Other states are also eligible).,


Value Chains:

Cocoa, Spices, Sesame, Shea butter, Cashew, Cassava, Soybean, Rubber, and Ginger.

CANNIBALISM AMONG CATFISHES

This is a very common phenomenon among catfishes. Because, catfishes are omnivorous in nature, they tend to cannibalize on themselves, and because, although they are hatched the same time but do not have uniform growth rate, they tend to be cannibalistic in nature. Due to the lack of uniformity in their growth rate, the ones that shout-out faster (shooters) tend to predate on the smaller and weaker ones. Catfishes cannibalize a lot, when they are left for a long time in a pond without sorting, or when they are not being fed adequately.
